SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 26
(By Senators Plymale, Scott, Chafin, Fanning and White)
Congratulating the Vinson High School boys' basketball team for
winning the 1997 state Class A championship.
Whereas, The Vinson High School boys' basketball team ended
the season with twenty-one wins and only six losses, earning it a
chance to participate in the 1997 state championship playoffs; and
Whereas, The Vinson High School boys' basketball team
participated in and won the 1997 state Class A championship; and
Whereas, Head coach Gary Norris and assistant coaches Tucker
Lynch, Steve Morrison and Dino Bradley took great pride in leading
their team to victory; and
Whereas, The athletic ability and outstanding sportsmanship of
each team member helped to make winning the 1997 state Class A
championship a reality; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Vinson High School
boys' basketball team for an outstanding 1997 basketball season and
for winning the 1997 state Class A championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to head coach Gary Norris and assistant
coaches Tucker Lynch, Steve Morrison and Dino Bradley.
